New Forum-Vibe PDF

The new file has been named ForumVibe2.pdf to keep clear which file is which

The new file has a new PCB and it can be identified by a 2 above the R4-F designation.

All boards, old and new, function correctly and allow the forum mods as decsribed in the PDF, there is no need to make a new one if you have made the previous one.

The latest updates are:

**(Note: RG's neovibe schematic had shown this connection correctly)

Errata:

Errors in old files
(page-7) Polarity was incorrectly shown on C1, C2, C3, C5.
(page-9) Lower picture showed C11 as a .047uF cap (should have been 470pF) and should have been shown as a mylar (greenie).
(page-23) Alternate bias link (lower picture) was shown shorting bulb

Sorry if these errors may have caused anyone any problems.

Other:

4.9MB file size
Many dial-up users were having problems downloading such a huge file. The file has been re-worked from an Adobe Photoshop file of 4.9MB into an Adobe Illustrator vector-art file decreasing the file size to 2.2MB.

The C14/Q10 connection issue
The connection of C14 to Q10 changed over time in the newsgroups and internet discussions, originally the connection of C14 was toward the emmiter of Q10 then over years that changed to the base of Q10 as the previous stages are, likewise the Forum-Vibe also reflected this change. Many have asked why the original option wasn't available on the Forum-Vibe since it's kind'a all about optional builds ...so... the PCB traces have been re-worked one last time to allow the original connection of C14 to the emitter of Q10.

Light cover solder pads
The size of the pads being small as needed, tended to peel-off if the light cover was soldered/un-soldered (too) many times, these pads have been enlarged to their maximum available size. For this reason I also recommend you get your bulb adjusted before soldering the shield in place, it shouldn't have to be removed untill the bulb goes out.

This new file is more concise and flows in a more explanitory way about the mods and how they're done, this should help those who don't know the long-running machinations about the clone vibes from the newsgroups/internet and how we've arrived here at this Forum-Vibe. Sorry for any inconvienience on the errata, and I hope everyone likes the new file.

-Brad
